Good Ol' buddies

It was a rollercoaster day.....Had some ups and a down today.....

UP - received a phone call this morning abt another possible in*****w
UP - Got back my ipod nano *a brand new one* yay!! after 4 months of being with the Apple service centre.
Why 4 months? haa...too long a story to explain...all i can conclude is, The PM's call for a more service gracious society ought to be commended for the PM's great senstitivity and observation abt what's the general quality of service like in the shops across the island... ha!
After all that hassle to getting a brand new ipod nano.... i think i'm going to sell my nano. Any1 interested? It's brand new! !

DOWN - my colleague/fren told me that she has tendered today..officially. Actually, I already know last week that she is going to tender this week as she received the job offers last week. However, today, reality hit me, really hard. She is leaving. Her last day is on 21s March, a mth away.
I'm truly happy for her cos we both have been really unhappy at work and finally, she has found greener pastures. However, I'm gonna miss her....I've already lost another colleague/fren 3 weeks ago in the same team......N now another one.

We work in a big team n having peer support is highly critical. Now that she's leaving, I am the only one left in my level in this team. This will mean more responsibilities, having to work more with higher seniority colleagues etc etc. This has a major impact on me. I need peers. Not that I cant get along with the assistants or those above me. I love all my assistants and most of those above me in the mgmt team. But sometimes, there's really a limit to what u can share with them, as compared to being able to share freely anything under the sun with ur peers (such as plans to change job etc etc)...... =(

UP - I met up with Zhilin (my belovec cuzzie) and Liyan (my beloved pri sch fren whom i know for 17 years..wow..cant believe it) for dinner at Waraku!! Life is full of coincidences! Liyan was my 'bus' fren. Knew her when I was in Pri 2 and her in Pri 1. My cuzzie was in the same pri sch as me and the same age as Liyan.
When they were in Pri 3, they met. They fought. They quarelled. They argued. They squabbled. They became partners. *oops i meant seating partners* haha. That really only triggered more quarrels. It's so funny how they always tell me stories of their 'fights'. So really they are 亲媒促马. Ha...So do you think they ended up together?

We had loads of fun together as kids cos our families were really close and often go on trips together. Hee...The greatest memory was the Cameron Highlands trip....Where we chased squirrels and brought back a 'strawberry plastic ball' each. Oh! N remember the greatest poem we composed in the world?

Well..this gal...haha..always bullying me and lijuan (another bus fren)!! haha..but well..what goes round comes round. It ended up that in P5 and 6, lijuan and I always bully her when they visit my old house (at windsor!). We will always play hide and seek downstairs n make Liyan the 'seeker'. Lijuan and I will then run back home into my house and from the balcony, we will peep downstairs and laugh at how frantically Liyan is trying to find us!! *what a meanie kid i was*!

Well, it's always easier to go with the force gravity instead of going against it. Though i listed 3 ups and a down above........The down seems to be weighing much much more than the ups.
But well, I will manage. I'm going to be a good girl and pray and read the bible and go to sleep.
The Lord is my comfort and shelter. =) N this guy here always cheers me up too.. =)
