Waves of thoughts

woah! miss my blog..havent penned down my dos and thoughts for a while now....
The past month has been pretty much a roller coaster month...
But whatever it is...im glad I survived...and am surviving well ! =)
December...a month filled with many thoughts and reflections....not just because its the end of the year...but because...its my birthday month!!! I have lived for 26 years now! Woah...unbelievable how Im in my LATE 20s now! seriously..this is extremely scary! I still feel like a little girl, though in these past 6 months..I have been put on an extremely steep growing up curve....
Out of all the 6 months in HK, I would say this December month is one of the months which I feel the most homesick n slightly depressed. Wth the holiday season here, the blings and tings of the christmas decors, christmas carols playing all ard and everyone living in la-la land (no one was in any working mood)...it makes me miss my friends and family a lot. Nothing beats having fun banters and chats over a nice cosy meal with your loved ones. Hai, almost wanted to just buy a ticket and fly home!
But thank God, He has put people in my life this whole period to walk me through this hard month. Had a flurry of activities admist the tinge of sadness this Christmas season...

Lazy to write too much....Let the pictures do the talking!

One of the Highlights of the month...

I received a bdae pressie from Singapura..

A Mermaid puzzle....nicely pieced together by my dearest

sisters...air flown in SQ to Reading Place!

Was really touched by it...=)

Macau
Visited Joyce and Stephen, my ex DT coleagues in Macau!
They are working @ the Venetian!
Was realy nice of them to bring me ard for 2 days!!!

Verdict on Macau:
Its BORING!!! nothing but gamblings and gamblings....
Will only go there again to visit Joyce and Stephen...
definitely nt the place!

N stayed over at JOyce's place...
Look at how BIG the flats in Macau are!!
its 1000 sq feet...
my bird cage is only 400 sq feet!

With some JPMers for dinner @ a korean restaurant!
Yummy!

They got me a cakey for my bdae! How sweet!

Went to Lamma to cycle! ended up pushing the bike
most of the time cos the slopes were sooo steep!

My team...

Thank God! CY was here for my birthday! =))
Thanks Bud for being here!

Had a great catch up with Joanie!..Shes here for the 2nd time!! =)
N look @ the cute lil snowman...her xmas pressie for me!

N long time uni fren Kee Chua visited over CHristmas
from Fuzhou!!! Had a nice diner with his frens here too! =)

Just a random pic from the streets of HK.....
These Christmasy flowers are everywhere!!!!!!
Truly adds to the mood of Christmas here

N off to Lantau - Tai O with James and Vicki!!
THis little town is intersting..very undeveloped, famous for
prawn paste and the tin houses

N james brought us to visit his grandparents abandoned
house in Tai O..we peered thru the windows and saw his
bicycle and toy gun! hahaa

Prawn paste in the making....

An old man leisurely fishing in the dusk

Little lighthouse

@ a church christmas dinner!
The diner was held at the top floor (42nd floor) of the
HSBC building...very christmasy setting and great food
and company....
Patrick, an ex colleague n me!

Looking magical? =P

N another MAJOR highlight of the month..
The gathering of my JC frens (6 of us!!) in HK!!!
Yingchuan, Abel, Christine, Kai yi, June and me!!
We had delicious hot pot at Mongkok....was a truly heartwarming
gathering..though we have not met each other for so long...we still can
talk and laugh and joke like the good ol days

N Joyce came over to HK to vist the weekend b4 2008 too!!! =)

Vicki me and JOyce...cheers....to a brand new beginning

Was a great party night at Mint!!
Thanks to Matthew.the party king!

Oooohh. n u guys will be so proud of me..
I actually went to JAY CHOU's concert!!!
But it was pretty much a disappointment...stage was overly
simple and i could not hear his voice half the time!!
The music was overpowering....and taking into consideration
his mumblings...made it all worse.....
I rather enjoy his music on MP3...

Our Front and MIddle office CHristmas party @
Mariott...tts my full team!!

We had a CHristmas gift exchange...and I got this...
a POlice letter holder..wahahhahaa Mandy got it!!!!

N...look @ what Chewy brought for the gift exchange..
