it has been a long long journey
Wonder if anyone still reads this dormant blog.....hahaa...decided to try to visit my poor little blog again...after 4 whole months!!!! to celebrate a great one year here in 'Asia's world City...HK...'
2nd July...marked my one year in Hong kong....time flies unbelievably fast....and looking back, things that are happening now seem completely unexpected from what I saw it to be one year ago...
This one year has been an incredibly roller coaster experience....From super highs to super downs...A lot of my temperaments were tested and stretched like never before. Also had a lot of first time feelings, thoughts, after-thoughts and lessons learnt....Some made me felt torn and battered, Some made me feel happy on cloud nine... Some just left me numbed of feelings...but all of these little things definitely helped to mould me into a stronger person....
Let me take a walk down memory lane....
Little memory nutshells of HK in the past 1 year...
1) I love my little nest up on a little hill top above PIZZA hUT!. ALthough many have come and was shocked at how puny it was....It is indeed my warm little shelter which I actually look fw to coming back to everyday.
Great that I get to put stuff wherever, however and whatever I want anywhere hahaa
N although this is a tiny nest, it has hosted a great number of guests...Lets see who has stayed overnite here before in my tiny living room...
Mum, Dad, 2 sisters, Aunt Linda, Michelle cuzzie, Joanna n her fren -Karen, Sooting, Yewhong, Kitty, Joyce, Changyu, KC, Neleus, Nana, Mel, Yanquan, Gerardine, Jessie, Pin Xin, Goldwin, Joan...Did I miss anyone out? =P
2) I love my friends that God has truly blessed me with here in Hong Kong...Elisa, Jodie, Aylwin, Siew Ling...Thanks for making my life in HK such a sweet sweet one...love u guys to bits =)
THanks for always being there and listening to my non-stop complaints...Not going to say more as nothing more can express how i truly appreciate all of u...Although I have known everyone of you for only about a year, I feel like i have known u peeps my entire life!!
3) I love the outskirts of HK...All the hikes, boat trips, car rides, island hoppings I have taken to the scenic parts of HK...totally love it.....Its crazy how drastic the bustling city transforms into another world as you venture out of the hustles...This can compensate a little on how much I miss those unforgettable hikes back in Yellowstone....
4) The many yum-chas, tong shuis, hot pots that Ive had here are being reflected on the higher number on the weighing skill.
5) I thank God for a lovely team....both MO and FO.....It is almost impossible to even think about how kind and easy going my traders are. Traders whom you can scold and whom u can play ard with. hahaa... For those in the banking industry, you will understand what Im trying to get at.
6) Picked up Golf here...and am totally addicted to it!!! I remember thinking to myself before..Golf is only for old man (like my daddy haha) and its soooo boring....walk ard the whole course just to get little white things into little holes??...But the kick of hitting a good ball is tremendous...and Im totally in love with the game now!!!!! Those in sing...quickly go learn so we can all play together!
7) Love the fact that I'm just 1 hour away from Mainland....The spa, massages, mani and pedis at an extremely 'reasonable' price...are something i will definitely miss when i go back home one day....
8) Attended the most concerts/musicals I have ever had in a single year, Jay Chou, Alicia Keys, We will Rock You and my beloved David Tao......
Peeps..Im all ready for KTV....NO more Red Bean (the Indecisives will know what Im talking about hahahaa)
9) Never clubbed/partied so much before in my life!! hahaa...although the number of clubbing nites have dropped drastically from last year...Really love chilling out and dancing the nite away once in a while =)

10) SUrvived the coldest winter in HK ever in 17 years...without any heater at home!!!!!! WIll not forget how many layers I have to wrap myself with to go to bed everyday!!!!
11) O and how can I forget my baby..my Acer labtop!!!! It has accompanied me faithfully throughout the past one year. ENtertaining me with you-tubes (think i have never watched so many you-tubes before in my life), music, MSN, SKype, Face book and storing all my...PICTURES of cos....
Above r just but some flashbacks of my life here in the past one year....
Wonder how my life will be like in the coming year? Not sure...have to just keep walking by faith...and sometimes taking a step back to stop and reflect and think....
