The Rainbow in the Sky to show God's Promises are True!

God is good...Indeed He is. I cant help but be filled with so much thanksgiving for all the blessings and lessons the Lord has brought me through in my life.

There are so many things in my life to give thanks for. My family, my dearest bros and sisters in Christ (u know who u r), my dearie frens, education, work etc. N yes of cos, there are also many many trials and tribulations many more than expected sometimes, but at the end of day, I'm a child of God, and being able to walk my life with Christ as the centre is something that is so precious, yet much taken for granted many times.

I've let God take the back seat in my life many times..and especially recently, amidst work friends and fun, I've almost forgotten Him. Especially on good days...where I feel that my own strength is sufficient to lead me through. =( I feel so guilty and so unworthy. But Praise God, everytime such dry spots happen in my life, He always seem to place circumstances and occurences and dear brothers and sisters to shake me and wake me up all over again.........

I remember last year when I ws going thru this very bad patch in life where I was depress all the time over every single thing possible, the Lord spoke to me very clearly in His amazing ways. I rem at that time, I was having problems in many aspects of my life and felt totally exasperated and frustrated at everything. Then come one fine day, I was driving along the road with my mum next to me to Esther's house for a gathering with the dearies. Suddenly, I saw this rainbow rite in front of my eyes and was just awed and quickly told my mum to help me to take out the camera from the car drawer (yes the camera happened to be in the car) and I just stopped along the side of the road without much hesitation and starting snapping pictures of the rainbow. That was it, I didn't think much about it and went on that evening to enjoy the company of my loved ones at Esther's house.

That nite when I came home, I downloaded the pictures from the camera and as I opened up the photo, I was shocked. There was a cross in the foreground of the picture (below). When I was taking the photo from the car, I did not even notice that there was a church there and such a huge cross there. The Rainbow and the Cross reminded me of the story of the Noah's ark. Where a rainbow represents GOd's promises to us. It seems so so clear that the Lord is saying that He is there and will always be there. Whether we want a deeper relationship with Him is really up to ourselves. Today, we sang the Rainbow Song at Solid Rock..Though it's a really simple action song, I love the song for its simple message. God's Promises are unchanging and He is an unchanging God.

'I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remain in me and I in Him, He will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do nothing' John 15:5

This time that I feel dry and far from God, He has once again shook me by placing people in my life to remind me of my walk with the Lord. N especially placing me in a group led by Eng Kwang to begin the Master Life series. I m really amazed at the Lord's perfect timing. I'm NOT going to let this empty life without Christ as the focus to continue. I truly pray with the help of the Master Life series, I will be more disciplined and will do my quiet time consistently. Let's encourage one another to press on and run the good race for our Lord!! Amen?

Peaceful Saturday Nite....

It's Saturday night...N here I am, right smack in my living room on my comfy sofa under the therapeautic soothing spinning ceiling fan (Those who have been to my house before will understand =P). Was sleeping from 6pm to 8 pm just now..but was rudely awakened by LION DANCE!!! Can u believe it?? I was so shocked!! LION DANCE? at 8pm on a Sat nite near my house? N it's not even CNY. I woke up and explored and realised my new neighbour who owns like 3 cars is holding a house warming party and he invited a LION DANCE TROUPE! *Faints*

Was supposed to Jas' house for a mega 'junkies exchange' gathering..But I am too tired..and too sick to stay out for another nite... Sorry peeeeps, will meet u guys up another day =(

Reflections for the past week once again have to do with work very much. Cos I was working most of the nites though i was down with fever and phlemgy cough..eeeeks!! =( But finally, slowly but surely, month end is shelved n next week will be a good week! Hope I can get off work by 6.30pm LATEST everyday!

But well, at least I managed to have a little bit of fun yesterday! Went to East Coast with my colleagues to have JUMBO seafoood! Was fun! Sat by the breezy beach and tucked into yuummmy chilli crabs with fried mantou, although I was coughing my lungs out. Went for a game of bowling too! But it was all last min so I had to bowl in my skirt and shawl!!!! All glam is that!!! hee....Came home at about 2am n woke up at 11am this morning..What joy to be able to sleep through the morning......

After lazing ard at home... dragged my tired body to church prac today! Church prac is gonna start at 1pm every sat now! Am really glad abt the change, now that it starts at 1 and ends at about 3.45, i'll still have half the sat afternoon to run errands meet frens etc etc now!! =) I havent been playing for main service for abt 2 months now I think, all that HK trip etc etc....N it was truly refreshing to be able to serve the Lord again. Though I always say Im tired n all abt the music ministry, I realise I still do enjoy playing music to worship Him and for His people.... =)

I am having a little problem here...I wanna go somewhere for holiday!!! I need to go for a holiday desperately...But where where where? wanna go somewhere beautiful, fun relaxing n wont' cost anything more than 800 bucks..for about maybe 4 days 3 nites? Any suggestions?? HELP ME!

Wedding after Wedding!

Heylo! Its the weekend again! Well..not quite...Saturday's gone...only Sunday left!
I really treasure my weekends a lot a lot. Only 2 days I cant spend lotsa time catching up with my dearest frens and family too. Have been working hard this week due to month end closing, but good that Im still enjoying my work and am passionate about it! I love my team at work! Praise God that He has placed some other Christian sisters in my team too! =) N my team is really fun as well. Guess it's cos everyone is still pretty new to the firm, brand new team and thus it's really up to us to shape the culture! Gonna make sure we work hard and do our best in everything but play hard at the same time too!! =)

Anyways back to my weekend..Guess where I was on Friday night, yes Elynn and Jackie's wedding!!!!!!!!! really really truly exhilarated to see the 2 of them finally tie the knot! They are both my seniors at Deloitte-Dow previously and both went to New York last year to work. We saw them blossom from frens to great frens to becoming attached and now glued to each other for the rest of their lives! They are back in SIngapore just to get married and share the joy with their dearie frens and relatives and will be flying back again!
The wedding brought back awesome memories...Cos it was like a reunion for the Deloitters..(well many EX deloitters now) hee....N most importantly, I got to see Michie dearie (Mich also went to NY to work last year..)and of cos Elynn and Jackie again! Michie is also my senior at Deloitte-Dow. Seeing them right in front of me again and hearing their voices once again really makes me realise how much I miss them! Michie teared on seeing me once again! So sweeeet...I really really love all of them! I miss having such great fun with them at work last time........SIgh, I think i'm really quite an emotional person...always missing this and that..
Heh..Anywyas, the wedding was so much fun! It was more like a party for everyone! EVeryone was so high and there were crazy games at the wedding too. Jackie had to remove Elynn's gutter from under her wedding dress with his mouth! N everyone was just so rara and high. Jackie's sister and dad were really super high too. N Jackie got really high, n was very much drunk..He was sooo hilarious in his drunkard state! This is the 2nd time I 've seen him really drunk. First time was at the Dec 2004 DnD (N also the nite that Jackie fell in love with ElynN!!!) After the wedding all of us even crashed wedding suite on the 66th floor of swissotel. The view from up there was fantastic. When I was looking down, I kept wondeing how do bungee jumpers get all that courage from to jump. Eeeeks...makes my hair stand. ANywyas, overall, a fantastic enjoyable wedding party!!! =)
I sincerely pray Elynn and Jackie's love will be everlasting and sweet always N will bear fruits soon...so that I can play with little jackies and elynns soon!!!!

N once again..had supper tonight with ESSR!!! I just cant get enough of them...
N of cos, lotsa food was being ordered. No choice lah, xiaodi must eat as much as he can during the 2 days tt he's out of Tekong in civilisation....The HK cafe at Kovan is fantastic!! I love the food and the place. Only setback is..they play really old pop songs really loudly!! I wun be surprise if Aaron Kwok's 'Dui Ni Ai Ai Ai' plays one day...
